Gerard J. Martillotti, Esquire Founder Jerry Martillotti has practiced law for over 17 years as a trial litigator. His entire practice has been devoted to fighting for injured victims in Courts throughout the United States of America. Jerry started his law practice in a well respected national plaintiff’s litigation firm located in Washington D.C. and focused his practice in Medical Malpractice, Auto Accidents and Products Liability. He developed his trial skills working on high profile litigation involving some of the most accomplished lawyers in the nation at the time. During the early part of his career he worked extensively on complex product liability litigation and worked on the landmark case Daubert v. Merrell Dow and developed a love of trial practice in this unique setting. |

In 1994,
Jerry moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and since
that time up until today, Jerry Martillotti has been working
on Railroad Injury cases known as FELA cases. His FELA practice
developed over the years along with his continued work in Medical
Malpractice, General Negligence cases and Auto Accident cases. Jerry is
licensed to practice law in 5 States and in 8 Federal Courts of Law. He
has taken over 50 cases to trial and has enjoyed tremendous courtroom
success. Many of his successful results were achieved in cases where
the defendant made no serious attempt to settle the cases. He has
obtained settlements in a number of jurisdictions that have given his
client’s a satisfactory result to a difficult situation.
He has also successfully handled many appellate cases including recent landmark cases, Crehanga v. Jardal, in the Supreme Court of New Jersey that changed the law on the methodology used in expert witness testimony. He also successfully argued Mix v. CP Rail in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit which expanded the rules related to Statutes of Limitations in FELA cases allowing workers that have exposure or repetitive injuries greater access to the court system. Jerry was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of Scranton and graduated with Honors. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law. He now resides in Wayne, Pennsylvania with wife Mary Ann and his three children. Jerry remains active in the community, volunteering his time services to many local community organizations. Ed Przchowski Chief Investigator - Founder Edward J. Przchowski, or 'Ed', began work for Amtrak in 1977 and spent 10 years in the Amtrak Police Department, 1 year in the Signal Department and 6 years in the Amtrak Claims Department. In addition to having a Bachelor of Science degree, Ed attended the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center for Investigation in 1987 and served as a Union representative for the police department in the 1980's. Before the founding of the Martillotti & Associates firm, Ed had 14 years of experience in the FELA/Personal Injury field assisting both RR employees and other injured persons receive fair, equitable settlements and verdicts.

Tammy McAndrews Office Manager/Paralegal/Founder Tammy McAndrews has worked in a litigation setting for 15 years. She is an accredited Paralegal with training in Vocational and Independent Medical Examination evaluations. Tammy has essential training and experience in trial preparation and for years she has assisted clients throughout the litigation process. She is always available to assist an established client or potential new client with important information to assist them with their claims. Tammy has several years of continuing education in the legal field and remains active in the continuing advances of litigation technology. Tammy McAndrews was introduced as the Office Manager of Jerry Martillotti & Associates in October 2007 and in that role her impact on the firm has increased to overseeing the daily operations of the office. As Office Manager, Mrs. McAndrews has established an efficient and professional work enviroment that has been very popular with our clients and vendors.

Patrick Conway Consultant Patrick Conway is a consultant that worked for over 28 years as a Railroad Engineer for several rail carriers. In his early days, Patrick was exposed to the legal world when he trained and worked as a consultant for the insurance industry. His knowledge and passion to help protect railroad workers from claim agents has earned him a reputation as the one guy the railroad does not want you to contact, if you are injured. Patrick lives in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Tony Taromina Consultant Tony Taromina has 25 years experience as a conductor/brakeman. Tony served as UTU 632 Local Chairman for over 10 years. His local represented conductors, brakemen and engineers. He was also a Secretary/Treasurer for 12 years in the UTU. Tony spent ten years as a member of the Safety Committee for Conrail and Norfolk Southern Railway, he was also a Safety Trainer for five years. Tony was an advisor for his UTU General Committee assigned to assist new/less experienced local chairmen, in handling company investigations/trials. Tony's training in rail safety and his work experience makes him a great asset to our firm.

Ron Hardesty Consultant Ron Hardesty has 41 years experience in the railroad industry as a Conductor/Brakeman. Ron has served as Legislative Representative for the United Transportation Union (U.T.U.) for over 25 years, which deals primarily with railroad safety. He has also been elected to the Pennsylvania State Legislative Board as Vice-Chairperson for the past 20 years. Ron has also served as Local Chairperson of U.T.U Local 1074 for 15 years, representing Conductors/Brakemen and Engineers. Ron worked for predecessor railroads Pennsylvania and Conrail before Norfolk Southern. Ron spent 8 years on Conrail's Safety Interview Team and various safety committees. Ron has endless experience dealing with the carriers in safety sensitive areas and personal injury cases. Ron's years of experience in safety and Union activity is a great addition to our firm. Ron is currently retired and resides in the Pittsburgh area. |
